Texas hostage situation: 1 released from synagogue, 3 others still inside

 

Specialists say a man has taken prisoners at a place of worship close to Fort Worth, Texas.

The Colleyville Police Department tweeted Saturday evening that it was directing SWAT tasks at Congregation Beth Israel.

Administrations at the place of worship were being livestreamed on Facebook for a period.

Authorities said the suspect at first took four prisoners. One of those prisoners was delivered at around 5 p.m. nearby time. There have been no detailed injuries.An official let The Associated Press know that the prisoner taker has requested the arrival of a Pakistani neuroscientist associated with having connections to al-Qaeda. The neuroscientist is in government jail in Texas subsequent to being sentenced for attempting to kill U.S. military officials while in care in Afghanistan.
